Well I hope Im doing the right thing....

Well I ordered my x1 last week in hopes to cutting my car payments in half along with lower insurance payments with better gas milage. Im coming from an 2011 x6 to the x1 Do you thing the savings will over power the step down in car?

well yes you are going to notice a huge difference between the X6 and the X1. you could buy 2 X1s for the price of a X6 depending on the options. But a lot will depend on how much you drive it, what options you had on the X6 you won't have on the X1 (nappa leather for instance).

everything you could put on it LOL Now I have a week to sale it It has 35k miles Im going to detail it and see what car max offers me just to get an i sea of where i stand on resale value. The only thing it doest not have is cold package as i didn't need it here in south FLA. Napa red leather also my car payments are 950.00 month with high insurance and the gas milage well it sorta sucks. With the x1my car payments will fall to 450.00 give and take a few $$ and insurance will drop about 50-75$ a month so Ill save around 650.00 a month and in todays economy well you do the math... : )

My lease is up in may 2013 if I keep it my buyout will be $42000.00

ME TOO...

I'm in a similar situation. I'm currently driving a leased 2009 X6 (fully loaded). My original lease just expired on the first of August, but BMWFS let me extend my lease until Oct, since I have an X1 on order (M-Sport fully loaded). I love my X6, but my job relocated last year and my daily commute went from 7 miles to 50 miles round trip. I'm currently spending about $400 a month in gas. With the lower lease payment and the better gas mileage, I too expect to save about $600 a month. But what I'm really waiting for is the 201? X2, if it ever gets made, but I will settle for the 2014 X4.
