2010 X1 Xdrive2.8 without Cruise Control

Hey guys,

I did not noticed until a week or se after I received my X1 that IT HAS NO CRUISE CONTROL! I just cant believe 41k usd German premium car without cruise control...

I wish to know if any of you also got it without it or if the dealer removed it on purpose for another car?

Has anyone installed it?

Thanks.

Cruise control became a standard on the XDrive SE in the UK from the MY2011build onwards. Its one of the reasons I cancelled by Aug'10 build to wait for a Sept'10 one.

made sure it was an option on my order, you do have to go through item's you required with a bit of attention if you have a car built to order. Not really BMW's fault you did not ask for it to be fitted.

My initial reaction was the same.. i just assumed that it would come with cruise control.

Z63n, very true about the camry and accord, not to mention that many base model cars even in the 90's came with cruise control as standard.

Well, it is a BMW, that costs extra, just like other German premium cars...

I don't have cruise control also, but I knew about that. The dealer told me that I can install afterwards (but he didn't really check - new model).
When I wanted to do the job they discovered that is very expensive operation. You need to change the whole rpm/speed indicators, etc...
So I forget about the CC, but I'm ok with that...I don't really need it with romania's few hundred km of highways...
