that may not be a clear goal to you as its not a specific "i want to have a body fat percentage of 10%" but for the general population its fine.
I don't get your point. What do you mean "we can do that whenever you want". You say that like scales that have body fat monitors built in aren't everywhere for extremely cheap. Just get one of those and base your goals on your body fat rather than your weight. I'm very against measuring ourselves by weight because it's incredibly inaccurate from person to person. Since everyone can buy a body fat scale at walmart, there's no reason to not monitor that rather than weight. If I were ever going to be a personal trainer for someone I wouldn't even let them look at their weight.

ohh yeah, and before i started working out hard, i used this:

its really fucking good. i lost like 6lbs just with that... it cleans you out, all the shit that stuck in you, and whatnot, just comes out. plus, after that, i had a large boost in energy which allowed me to go on the elliptical for an hour with a high lvl.... i highly reccomend it to everyone here! you can get it at your local GMC.

Yeah, its what I did when I lived in Hawaii. We call it the ABC program.

A - eat whatever the hell you want for 2 weeks. As much protein, fat, etc. Just get the calories in. Lift HEAVY.

B - Go lean, lower the calories significantly for 2 weeks. Salads, protein, low carbs, almost no fat. Lift for reps.

C - The end result is you should have gained between 3-5lbs of muscle. Its a cycle. You start over again, till you get where you want to be.

It works, but this was when I was 21 and my metabolism was like a boiler room.

yeah dawg... my BMW is 27.5. just 3 months ago it used to be 31.2!!! but ive been working extremely hard at it. man, i dont mean to be fucked up... but i would love to see a pic of your wife.... and then laugh. because in 5+ years, shes gonna take a turn for the worst.

with teh description you just gave me about her habits... thats the perfect formula. you better tell her to stop that shit and have a proper diet and whatnot because her super amazing metabolism wont last forever... infact, there will be no signs or symptoms. one day she will just wake up and it will be shot. 3 months later.... you would think to yourself: holy hell! is that what she has become? fucking kiemyster, that arrogant prick! blast him! he was right!

yeah dude. maybe i over stressed it, but u know where im coming from, right?

edit: ohh yeah, and now i bust my balls in the gym for 3+ hours a day, 6 days a week. i try to burn off at least 1500 calories, and consume no more than 1300 calories. its fuckign hard work, isnt it?

i am like you...except i cant eat breakfast.
i should go out and get myself protein shake and at least drink that in the morning.
i really cant do much about food since i live on campus and i cant cook on campus. i guess i should just eat whatever til i bust out and pump irons?
i hit gym tues/wed/fri/sat. (if i have time, i go more often)

rep meaning like...number of consecutive lifts or ?
i read it from somewhere that start with the heaviest and lift 3 times, move on, repeat.

this is a great thread. nothing beats the car forum. it has all the information you need!

This thread is great its giving me new ways to work out.
I seriously hate running, ellipticals, and cycling. Can i get the same cardio from hitting the bag? seems to be the only cardio i really enjoy.

Try HIIT cardio. You only have to really do it for a good 15 minutes. GREAT way to shed pounds and keep your metabolism up throughout the entire day.

Basically start with a 45 second jog, 30 second sprint, 45 second jog, 30 second sprint and so on until you hit 15 minutes.

Stop 'dieting', and start eating right. Whatever 'diet' you choose, you should stick to it for life.

Exercise every day, until the day you die.

I've lost 30 pounds in 7 years, still creeping down.

Whatever shitty habits are corrected by your fad diet will come right back when you start eating fast food again, and you stop your exercise regimen, and you eat high fructose corn syrup-filled sugar bombs.

You want to feel good (and for those obsessed with their egos, look good), forever, don't you?

That's what's wrong with people. They want, no they HAVE TO, follow something. You can't just tell them, Eat chicken and fish, some red meat, veggies and fruit, and excercise, that's all. Trying to lose weight, stay within the calorie barrier and limit the carbs. That's not enough for them. They have to read a fucking book and follow a diet that has "name" so they can associate with it.

I never like telling or seeing people who cut out carbs. The friends of mine who have done the low carb-carb free diet always feel tired and they look like hell.

honestly.. who ever is dumb enough to "cut carbs completely" is a dumbass, and probably deserves to be tired and look like shit. they obviously werent blessed with the almighty common sense... what a shame.

This is all really simple:
1) Stop eating out on weekdays (and if you have to, eat salads w/o dressing or cheese)
2) Eat really well Monday to Friday (yogurt, black-coffee, salads w lean proteins, oatmeal, apples/bananas, nuts, fish oil, whole wheat pasta etc. and no junk whatsoever)
3) Run 4k 2-3x per week, lift weights 30 min 2x week.

And, this is neither a "diet" or "program" Its a lifestyle and ever ongoing effort. Boring? Not really, I eat whatever I want on weekends and that's enough for me. Monday to Friday is only work anyway. (My BP, cholesterol, sugars etc. is prime and I am 6ft, 160 lbs ~35yrs old)

ohh you bet your ass it does! you will be shitting like crazy, so make sure to stock up on really really soft toilet paper... the expensive ones. preferably with aloe & e. else, its gonna wreak havoc on your anus.

but i felt like a billion dollars after that, and my stamina doubled. i highly recommend it.
