BMW Y adapter placement

Guys, those who are using this where are you placing your phones/iPods ?

It's in a daft place, especially if you have a manual car as there's just no room for anything. Is there a holder or something to hold the phone vertical ?

Our 2013 UK car does have basic Bluetooth but no Com box so can't code music streaming.

I know this works for Androids - Look on Amazon for a USB+Aux bluetooth adapter. You can separate the Phone BT audio and Media BT audio, so you can keep the phone with the integrated BT on the car. I did this with my Note 5 and it works perfectly, retaining the built in Phone BT with the car

Get a phone holder that attaches to the air vents. This should keep it vertical and close enough to the USB/Aux inputs for the short cable.

^-- Also could get a CD slot mounted holder. I use one with a magnetic head that holds my phone nicely. My phone only partially blocks the air vent this way and doesn't quite impede use of the head unit controls.

I got a longer cable from eBay. I have run the cable along the side of the driver's seat and keep my iPod in the centre arm rest.
