Valencia orange with terra nevada leather- anyone seen?

I ordered my x1 last week in Valencia Orange with terra nevada leather and am now panicking that it's going to look shite- I only got to see the samples which were the size of my hand! Anyway I've got a few days to make changes so wondered if anyone had seen or bought this combination?

We have not received any X1's in the US yet but if your just looking for opinions I'd go with a black interior. I ordered beige for my white X1 but only because I'm in South Carolina and the interiors get so hot here in the summer. I would have loved the Terra interior but it wasn't axailable on an sdrive. I had that color on a 2004 X3.

I sat in one the other day. The dealerships are each getting one for training.

It was the Valencia Orange and it looked awesome. You will love it.

Thanks for the reply Shabadoo, I just wondered if the one that you sat in had the terra brown interior? If not what did it have?
Many thanks, Kerry

This is Terra with the xLine. It also adds Terra to the dash and center stack making things two-tone as part of the xLine and it looks good.

The interior was tan. I have seen terra-like interiors in other situations and loved them. I really doubt you will be disappointed.

This vehicle starting at $31k is a no brainer. They won't be able to keep them on the lots for a second. They will probably steal a lot of base 3 series sales.

The valencia orange looks unique but i think beige interior goes better with it.

That's a bit too orange creamsicle to me, I would figure the only choice would be black interior.

As much as the funky colours look good together... go for black leather. When it comes to trade-in time you're going to get more with a colour combination that's easier to sell on.

However... as for the Orange colour... it'll look awesome with some decent wax on it

OP, did you move ahead with Terra interior?

I just ordered a '14 sapphire black with Terra leather as I like how dark it appears on the BMW website (seen here http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...iaGallery.aspx and in the configurator).

However, the photo poster here make the leather look light brown, almost orange. , almost orange.

Looking at this thread: http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...ighlight=terra, they seem darker, though.

My local dealership doesn't have any X1s on the lot with Terra interior.

Can somebody please tell me which is accurate, or post photos that are accurate?

The problem with photographing terra is that when light shines on the material, the pictures come out more orange. When ambient light is darker, the material looks darker.....when bright light is shining right on it, it looks brighter, especially in pictures. Both links are accurate, although the dash isn't as bright as in the second link.

I had the exact same concern as you when I ordered my deep sea blue/terra X1, and was greatly relieved that it was darker looking in person. When I look at the seats and dash, orange doesn't come to mind. It's more of a rich brown.

I'm really surprised I don't see terra more often.

Thanks so much for the response. That's what I suspected. This same concern held me back from ordering "terracotta" boston leather on my 1 series three years ago.

Glad I'm moving forward with it for my X1.

Our dealer has a Valencia w/Terra in the showroom that my wife is in love with. She's debating trading in her 128i for it (she really loves the X1 now that we've had it for a few months).

I'm not a fan of Valencia so if we become a two X1 family I will try and talk her into Mineral White. I'm hoping to hold on to the 128i until a 228i Gran Coupe is available.

the Valencia Orange is a gorgeous color. many different shades of orange as the sunlight changes through the day. i was a bit apprehensive when SWMBO ordered the color on her X1.when we are out, we are always recieving compliments on the uniqueness of the color.
