Recorded sound from my new X1

Hey guys,
Do any of you know what is causing this sound.. It only starts when the engine is idling below 1000 rpm. The funny thing is when you first start the car you don't hear it. But after you have driven for about 10-15 min (like it has to warm up) and then come to a red light or stop then it starts up. I recorded the sound via my iPhone you have to turn up the volume to hear it. Its seems to be more intense from the passengers side between motor and dash its hard to tell..

This cant be normal for a new 50k car

Didn't you take your car to the dealership? What did they say when you told them about the sound? I can't tell what sound you are referring to.

:
It's a brand new car. It's probably normal. You're seriously anxious about your bimmer, chill.

I am chilled buddy as I just came from BMW service and had the tech look at the problem He said YES it not right and is looking into it. Im excited about my new car but not seriously anxious just concerned as I have a 13hr drive ahead of me tomorrow and notice the sound gets louder as the car warms up!

The problem is hardly know-one is familiar with this new car as it new to the states.

It was hard to make out anything in the audio file. But, the fact that it is reproducible and the tech acknowledged it is half the battle.
