What did you forget today?
My age-addled brain is having a harder and harder time keeping up. We headed out to Chicago today for a conference for Wifey. And hour into the trip I realized I forgot my tripod. I had planned on some architectural shots with my tilt shift and some long exposure shots with my Lee filter. No such luck now. Then I went to take my BP meds tonight and realized I forgot to bring them. Now I'm going to feel like crap for four days. I even forgot to bring the mouse for my laptop, so now I'm stuck using this pathetic trackpad.
Arrrrgh. On top of that Chicago is going to get slammed with a nasty storm on Sunday. Guess I'll be inside all day watching pre-Super Bowl crap and then the big game. Hope it's all cleared out by the time we head home on Monday. Gawd, I hate getting old. Although it does beat the alternative.

LOL dude don't cry, I can make you feel better.
As a starter, I need to tell the history of the last few weeks. First was the oncoming (then) MLK day. As a result I spent a week explaining to an audience of 7-2 year olds all the shit that has happened in the world, from slavery to nazies, idiots of all ages and races, environmentalists and my favorite human psychology, how we work. I'm tired as hell, it's exhausting to try to get all the info through without skipping important parts but also making it easy for a kid that has lived a pretty sheltered lives to understand exactly what went down. So as an explanation, tired. REally, really tired. I don't mind staying up all night, but to study it sucks. I don't want to give wrong information on anything and also what happened in different times interests me too. Now, yesterday school without lunches. A lunch for the rest of us without anything to eat made, and I swear I remember cooking, I broke our laundry machine since I really had checked the pockets (yeah, right) and in the evening I fell asleep while in the basement repairing the heating. Today. I forgot it wasn't a Saturday, I forgot to do my rounds, a person waited me for an hour to get food into him. I forgot to take the dog to the car when exiting the dog park, I forgot it was my day of feeling like shit (I did remember this later) and for the last week I have gotten done zero of the things I was supposed to do. Old age or an hour of sleep per night for two weeks? In my case both participated.

No Balvenie at the hotel bar. What a dive. The MacAllan 12 is going down ok, though. Doctor's advice to help lower BP. That's why I like my doc.

A co-worker gave me a bottle of Balvenie Caribbean Cask for helping him out. Might have to crack it open tonight with a good cigar! To lower my blood pressure...

Nah, I'm trying to talk myself into buying an E90 with stick and surpercharge it, I may or may not have remembered to count the seat belts in the back while getting the coupe. . . My boy looks good, check out the signature, it's after all those tiny bits from mode carbon.

Already have, great looking car! Hell, I even saw your blog about driving Peter home, a great road trip.
Figure I have another 2-3 years in the E90 before its time for a change. I do like the F80 M3 but will hold out gor the midlife refresh including competition pkg etc.

I moved to this country to buy an E92, I just couldn't. I got told BMW doesn't do manuals, mmy hubby can come and do the specs while I look at pretty colors/ it's a car only for men. I admit, I don't have a V8 under my boy, but he still flies faster than anything I have seen on the roads. Your generation will be always my what if car. sad but true.

Sober? I'm sitting on my porch with good whisky and smoking a cigar!
You can still a good E90 out there and SC it. You only live once... The real fun will begin in 4 or 5 years when the boys are off at university and I don't need 4 seats!

I envy you, 4-5 years till cars stay clean sounds so distant to me still, my tiny man has a virus and he is miserable and fever spiked up really high two hours ago. I got the virus in check with my Justin biber patent (a bong of a sort, a coke bottle filled with ice with a hole in the bottom, a breathing air cooler and works like a charm on the virus) and got him drinking again. Er/ ur avoided! I won't remember anything about this night in the morning, I'm taking this tiredness to a whole new level now. Not blaming the kids, I'm just a completely hopeless when they are sick.

Sorry to hear that Lups, hope he feels better soon! When they are young, they are little germ factories, bringing home all kinds of crud from school mates.
And I think we've forgotten what this thread was about!

Have your doc call them into a local pharmacy. I do it all the time. Called meds into a pharmacy in Alaska one time from NY.

Tough on the weekend. No one in the doc's office. I called my doc (he actually gives out his cell phone number) and he said I'd be fine for a few days and to avoid salt. Like that's easy when you're eating out every meal.

Yesterday was exhausting as it was, plus I had to wake up early... Abridged story involving a friend's psycho roommate, driving 2.5 hours to only cover 29 miles each way through the worst part of SoCal for traffic (West LA) to help her evasively move to a friend's house, having said psycho pull into my driveway and try to get revenge at 11 PM, throw things and shriek so loudly someone called the cops on us while my FWB was inside dying to be devoured (thanks, cock-blocking bitch)... But it still happened until 1:30 AM .
So, after only 4.5 hours of sleep and missing some sleep the night before, I was out of it and getting ready zombie status... Which I realized that after I arrived at the formal event a bit more awake, instead of the suit jacket intended to match my black slacks, I took a dark gray pinstriped one that only fit me when I was 40 lbs lighter; and instead of my Ferragamo loafers, I wore a cheapo ugly set that I got at Payless as "kicks" for a job that required semi-formal attire (since I'm not wearing out a $500 set of loafers for a position that doesn't need to meet customers anyway)... ... But still not as bad as after not driving for 2.5 years and being the 2nd week of getting driving again (not to mention we were both horribly tired), where I carpooled with a friend to go 52 miles one-way to an event while my truck was left on a permit-parking-only street... I then realized I left my car keys at the event, but thank God I had just made and programmed 2 key/remote combos the day before (my dad only had the key portion and had no spare) and had my friend drive me home at 2AM to get it... But glad I managed to get there when the patrol was just barely up the street, then had to cover 31 miles one-way myself (I lived closer) to get the other key the next day.
