Damn!!! That's nuts, did you fly out there to inspect the car? I got my last two BMWs from Santa Barbara BMW, but seems like they won't budge too much on the M's...

Would still be interesting to see Canada's best dealers.

When does BMW come out with the list for the worst dealers?

was about to say...only reason they're on that list is because they're the only dealership in town. Although, I did go there recently and they did match my offer I had obtained from an out of state dealer.

But yeah, I feel like every time there, they have a whole new set of staff from sales to service lol

If I didn't have a good friend who owned an indy shop for whom I provided free IT services in exchange for free car service (and who has also gotten me in on a CotA trackside garage services deal that gets me free track time at CotA), BMW of Austin would have me seriously considering working exclusively with them rather than ever going to an indy shop, even though I've traditionally avoided dealerships. Their facilities are amazing (an actual on-premises movie theater with La Z Boy chairs!!), everyone there is unbelievably polite and helpful, and my SA there has gone above and beyond for me in about 50 different ways.

Next time ask for Chris Markey, assuming he's still there. I worked with him based on a recommendation from this forum when I bought my M3 and he was great. No idea how knowledgeable he was since I already knew more about the car than probably any CA and therefore that didn't really come up, but he was very helpful throughout the ordering process, didn't play any games, and was just a very polite, easygoing, and professional guy. Great buying experience.

Nothing in IL....? I've actually had a great experience w/Motorwerks (ask for Al Stoll!). Bought an X5M, M5, & M6 GC thru him all within 13mo. Have had subpar experiences with two other local dealerships.. which will remain nameless.

FYI, where a dealer is on the list is not a rank. So do not think the first and last is any better or worse than each other or any others on the list.

Yeah, I have no idea how this "award" is even chosen... I have visited #1 (A&L) when shopping for my ride, and except for the very attractive sales lady (tall, skinny, heals, well dressed, Russian/Eastern European?), everything else about that dealership turned me off... The attitude was bad, the customer service seemed to be a completely foreign concept. I was shopping for either an X1 or a 3GT then, and I wasn't allowed a test drive. When I tried to ask how much one of the X1 was going to be, she told me the sticker price (MSRP). When I asked if there were any deals to be had or room for negotiation, it was a simple and short "no". Didn't even attempt to earn my business. I have no idea how it ended up on that list, because everything about that dealership was a complete turnoff. Actually, A&L and P&W in Pittsburgh are probably in the top 5 "worst dealership attitudes" list in my personal experience. Another notable dealerships on that list are Audi and Ford in Hong Kong.

The only reason I can think of why A&L ended up on that list, is because they're in Monroeville, with a whole bunch of other car dealerships (different brands), so it's geographically convenient for shoppers to see a whole lot of different cars, and make their purchasing decisions.

I eventually got mine from Sewickley BMW, and the folks over there are sincere, friendly, and always made me feel welcomed. BIG thumbs up for them.

Heard some good stuff about #19, but never been there myself...

I'm surprised east bay didn't make it on the list the past two years after being on it for something like 15 years straight.

I would have said "Its far more likely that you'll waste both of our time". The fact that I can manage to find a deal that I like if I find the right dealership means that the blame for a deal falling through with me lies squarely on the dealer.

Correct that's Bill Jacobs BMW. I've dealt with four of the Chicagoland BMW centers and based on my experience, sales and service departments have been inconsistent. If that's the norm, that may explain why none made the list.
I was going to say that picture looks Bill Jacobs too.
I've only dealt with their service group, and have always been treated well, even though my zed came from elsewhere.

Sad so many are MF ing so many dealers because they thought they got fkd, from one deal or from one sales guy trying to make money. Probably the downside of this board that's for sure.

I had the same experience before I purchased mine cars. At the time, I was shopping for an M4 and a EV so I inquired about the I3, but then one of the jack-ass sales at Irvine BMW asked, "are you here because you want to drive it or you want to buy it?" I was amused by the question. Long story short, I settled elsewhere. A month later he calls to follow up. I told him that we have already made our purchase, at the same time... but none at BMW Irvine. And now we're shopping for the third and they will not even make our list even if all other BMW dealerships are out of business.
