Coolest thing ever. How is that little house called and how much it cost? It's cool.
Can you sleep in it?

It's a teardrop camper named " Liberty 1 " from Cargo-Trailers. Inside, it's like a queen sized bed and we are 4 to sleep in. The price is around 10k$ CAD, more with options.

That's a lot of money for quite a small space. But looks cool.

And here's an RV comparo article with e84 X1 towing a16' Airstream! The review was very favourable too.

Very happy to find this thread a few days after we got our pop up trailer's tires fixed.

If I'm brave enough to do this... where do you all suggest to get a hitch installed? Not sure I'd trust this to the local U-Haul store. (since they screwed up my Rav4 anyway)

Has anyone pulled a 16' boat and put it in the water and pulled it out without any issues. Trying to decide if it is in my best interest or not to sell my X1 and buy a heavy duty suv or truck in order to put a boat in the water. X1 is paid for so there is that

We have towed a 17' camper or doulbe jetski trailer with ours. If its a 35i xdrive, no issues w/boats or anything else. Its rated at 4400lbs in Europe.

I'd say its more comfortable at 3,000lbs. But my hitch is rated to 4,000 sway controlled.

hitch itself is very easy to install, you remove a few plastic panels and then remove 4 bolts on the bumper, and it slips over. Technically no need to remove bumper cover.

Towed a 5x10 trailer loaded to about 800lbs. I had no issues at all even with hills in CA. I did however upgrade the small 28i brakes with 35i brakes afterwards.. I would consider upgrading the brakes if towing anything heavier that is unbraked.

btw I'm lowered on Coilovers with Koni yellows on 350/650 in/lbs
Are those 513M wheels on your X1?

I've towed a E36 M3 in the past - approximately 2950 for the car and another 400 for wheels and tires. Also had a jack and a few track supplies. 3400 lbs without issue on flat roads.
