New X1 owner
Just bought my lovely wife an sDrive 28i with premium, heated seats, and satellite radio as only options. Seems to be a sweet car and the 8-speed tranny is a definite winner.
Most buyers seem to prefer xDrive in my area and this X1 had been on the lot awhile so the dealer's GM, who I know, gave us the "brother-in-law" discount ;-)

Well damn! These iPhone 5 pics are too large to upload here? Bummer, now I have to spend time editing them - but not tonight ;-)
Really, it's a plain vanilla X1 sDrive28i in Alpine White, there are tons of pics here already.

Congrats on your new X1
The advantage of the Sdrive 28i is it's weight. You take and get that N20 tuned or used a piggy back and I bet it will fly even more.

Sdrive is great. BMW is actually going to start offering the X5 with Sdrive when it relaunches in the fall. Saw where the new Acura MDX will off Eric front wheel drive versions. This is all probably to increase corp gas mileage and the fact that if your in the south X drive is pretty much a waste if it doesn't snow where you live.

Yeah, I would have bought an S Drive if not for the Electronic Power Steering. I feel that the xDrive M Sport Performance Control software gives me the best of both worlds.

Speaking of performance control - does it get disabled with either the traction control or the dynamic stability control (DSC)? |

Yes, I'm not a fan of the extra weight and mechanical complexity of AWD. If there is some place I can't get to with RWD and a good set of dedicated winter tires, I don't need to go there. ;-)
