Why Do People Leave Advertisements From Dealer On Their Car?
Why would someone leave DavidMcDavid.com, Sewell, Park Place, Crest, etc dealer badges and license plate frames on their cars? It's idiotic. I hate people that don't pay attention to detail.
Take all that shit off and stop the free advertising for your shitty stealership. Luckily, I've noticed most of the BMW guys here are pretty good about removing all that shit. Some kind of license plate frame with a website, dealer badge, or dealer name plate is on like 9/10 cars I see. |

I take all decals off and replace them with M badges and stickers - for the HP gains. Even on my 04 Kia Optima. Cuz I am a car guy!

A month later and I still have my dealer license plates...after my last trip to that same dealer I'm going to set the frames on fire and replace them with the M sport frames or something.

That'd be really annoying. When I got my window's tinted the shop slapped some nasty sticker advertising their place on my rear window. I peeled it off in the parking lot and walked back inside the shop to toss it. I'm not free advertising.

Before I purchase a car, I tell them very clearly, remove all that shit, let me confirm it's been removed, and THEN we'll proceed...

I don't think I've ever paid close attention to license plate brackets...
Some states, like Texas, have giant stickers on the back trunk of dealerships... That's hideous... Or carmax... The dealbreaker for me is if they drill front license plate holes... Only happened once and wasn't my sales guys fault... But it is something that I stipulate before car arrives / as its being prepped... Where I live they are pretty good about that though... Anything M or even M-Sport they won't drill holes unless asked by customer... |

I left the dealer plate on my wife's car.
It's chrome with chrome knobs covering the screw holes and says, "NEWPORT BEACH" along with the dealership. Then, when people drive behind us they will think we are rich and live in Newport Beach. |
