I personally never owned a new car with any sort of advertising on the my car. I always tell the dealership up front not to put anything on the car. Most all have honored the request without questioning. Only once did the dealer put their information on the car and it was kind of semi permanent. I immediately told the dealer my fee for advertising for them was $500 paid up front otherwise I was not taking the car. They tried fighting on it since they knew it was probably going to cost them about $500 to remover since they may need to repaint the trunk if the body shop could not get it off without damage.
Needless to say the logo was removed, since they did not want to pay me $500 to advertise for them. Last edited by Maestro; 08-31-2016 at 02:55 PM.. |

I hate when people leave the dealer plate frames on. I specifically told my CA not to drill the front bumper and put any dealer markings on my car and to leave that stupid BMW efficiency sticker in the rear window off. No idea wtf that is about.
I'll gladly rock a dealer sticker for money though |

I take that shit off immediately. Usually, they're just plate frames. Years ago, when I bought my E60, the dealership that it came from hand painted their logo on the trunk. Had it removed the next day.

Hah... yeah... I have them do it... along with any other decals that may have come with the car. My pickup had a giant decal on it FX4 or some damn thing... I had them take that off too. (Pic not mine, but makes the point)

The car arrived and it was clean, the only place with any indication it was a hemi was the shaker hood scoop with the 426 on the side They could not remove that. This guy was debadging his cars before it was fashionable. I have not seen this guy in about 10 yrs, the last time I saw him he still was the owner of the car. I meet him at a car cruise one night and notice his car and thought it was joke since it look like stock cuda with a Hemi hood scoop, until he let us open the hood and see it was in fact a Hemi. |

I love the "we finance everyone" plate surrounds. So you only paid 19% interest to buy this Hyundai....nice job.

Every car I've bought I made the dealer write on the sales order that I will not take delivery if there is any dealer advertisement on the car, sticker, badge, license plate frame, etc.
Since this is mentioned right before I sign, they are usually more than happy to put that down (even with some grumbling that it's the dealer "policy"). |
