I don't think so. A rep told me over the phone when I called in to follow up on status that it should come in a box. Then people started posting that they received envelopes. Nowadays they are sending via USPS and not UPS overnight. Gf's friend got a box but she applied on Monday 8/22. I don't believe she is a private client. Either way it doesn't matter to me. The box would have been cool for a minute and then it sits there and collect dust.

I applied 8/23 and got it today. It was an envelope and it was UPS overnight.

Already spent $4k. I will call to see when bonus is paid out. I don't think they make you wait 3 months to give you the points.

My wife called and told me there were two envelopes in front of the front door. We go in through the garage and I leave in the dark so I had no clue. I'll report back when I open them up tonight (yes, she moved them inside). She said it was one Fedex and one UPS. I didn't order anything else so the mystery deepens until I get home tonight.

Probably isn't in the FedEx.

You were right. The Fedex contained $650 in bestbuy cards from my 1yr stint with Citi. Free money. Churning FTW.

My CSR came in a plain envelope (inside the UPS envelope). When I called, they said they would be sending a welcome packet in the coming weeks as they were unable to keep up with demand. No slowdown in printing of the cards, just the marketing materials.

Also, for those who said that Private Client customers got the full welcome packet with the box - I can verify that is untrue. Two of my coworkers are CPC and they got the exact same thing I did.

I consolidated credit lines and canceled my CSP this morning. I already have the Chase Freedom card so no downgrade made sense.

The downgrade to Chase Freedom Unlimited would have made sense.

Freedom = 5% categories
Freedom Unlimited - 1.5% on everything
CSR = 3% on dining/travel

I think I will go this route and downgrade my CSP to Freedom Unlimited. I already have a Freedom card as well but seems like the Unlimited is a good option to downgrade to from CSP.

I already have an Amex Everyday Preferred which does much more. I have a zillion points with Amex so I'd rather rack them up there anyway. No point in having 3 chase cards (plus I bank with them). I'm not losing anything by closing it. The knock to my score will be minimal (plus I'm over 840 anyway).

I'm just saying, it can make sense to have 3 Chase cards because they do 3 different things.

I'll capitulate. If I didn't have the Amex EP, I would probably have done what you're suggesting.

My points are all in a "pool". Doesn't matter which Chase card they're earned on.

That doesn't matter as long as you have a Chase card open.
