Peeling Interior Trim

Hi all,

I'm fresh to the forum and BMW, so excuse any naivety.

I just bought a 2010 X1 SDRIVE20D with a modest 90,000 km's and Nevada interior and I just noticed the drivers side door handle is starting to peel (see pic).

Is this normal? The rest of the interior is perfect and appears to be well kept.
Is it a vinyl? So the upholsterer can't pull the wool over my eyes when I get a quote for repair.

Cheers,
Mike

Just buy a new trim piece. We can get these new from BMW for $34 USD. Pulls right off, put new one on.

Thanks, that sounds easy!

This suggests there are a couple of bolts holding it in?

But for the life of me I cant see how you could access the bolts.

Your local dealer is crap. Don't buy from the dealer, find third party oem supplier. Like ecs or the like.

Unfortunately, shipping from ECS to Australia brings the total to over $100 USD.
