Anyone try these tires?

Thinking of changing to Contintal PureContact w/ EcoPlus which are Non Run Flats. Anyone try these, I want to soften / take away the harshness of the RFT's. They have gotten great reviews.

Thanks for any info

One thing about continentals is they grip. One other thing about continentals is they wear. Fast.

Hi,
Also ask a Tyre Dealer. I would like to know what they both say.

I bought the ContiSportContact 5 SSR (run flats), put about 6K miles on them. So far so good.

Usually if a tire really has good grip, they wear because they're made of softer compounds. Mine have a wear rating of 280, but we'll see how the miles turn out.

That rating isn't the same company to company which is bullshit, but that's another story. Continental tires wear extremely fast from what I've seen. Not saying they're bad, they can just get expensive.

This is quite true. The wear rating really is only comparable with the same manufacturer. But like the tires donsbabybeamer is considering, compared to mine, he should get a much longer tread life. Although that will sacrifice grip.

I don't know about Conti's but I do know Bridgestone Potenza's wear out fast. My 135i ate them like candy.

The Pirelli all seasons. The Contis I bought are because they are a summer performance tire vs an A/S.
