BMW X1 (2010) Front Seat Refit/Replacement

Hi, I hope someone can help, has anyone done a refit from another model for their X1 seats. I have a 2010 S drive with the standard cloth material. I would like to change them. Has anyone had any luck fitting e90/e87 seats for the front, will they work? I

would try the M Sports seats but trying to find them in dismantlers here in Ireland would be like finding a vir gin in a convent.

To my knowledge it would be an e90 and a facelift 90+ would be the closest seat swap. I read the only issue is the seat occupancy sensor. But can't recall what years were interchanged in that swap that gave the problems

M3 seats fit:

You can do a few things. It will really help if you can code, as the seat MAT sensor may need to be removed.

-E90 seats with your modules, should be LCI to match.
-F3x/F80 seats with modules and some rewiring, plus coding
-Other e84 sport seats.

Depends on if your stock seats have power/heat, you may have to run new wires anyway.

I just did f80 seats in mine. Helped another guy do 435 seats. Those were much more work.

if you got photos of your modules on your seats, could give you some tips.

Yea, thats accurate, but off the top of my head, I forget which it is, as well.

However, it is possible to swap the seat mat sensor, airbag, modules, and seatbelt all over to a new seat from an old seat.

Its really annoying/tedious, but not overly difficult.
