diesel engine vibration
Hi Everyone, I'm the one that is very interested in BMW X1. Today I have the chance to test by friend's 520d (E60, 177hp), and I'm very surprised that I can feel the engine vibration from my seat.... is it normal? My friend said yes. But I didn't feel any for my current car: GOLF V 2.0TDI. So I'm worry if that is the same in X1 23d or 20d, since I will have a drive test this Friday.
Btw, will X1 20d phase in the new diesel engine 184p? Since it's already in new X3 and 520d (F10). |

I have x1 23d. A bit disappointed with the lack of refinement BMW have engineered into the x1 diesel. Have driven other BMW diesel's and they are great (320d, x5 35d), but x1 has more vibration and noise than these. Was expecting better from BMW. Other than this, x1 us a great car.

I've got an sdrive 18d. At low speed or standstill you can definitely hear the diesel engine pretty much and feel some vibrations, and it is kind of disappointing for a bmw. However, at higher speeds when there is some aerodynamic noise and the engine goes around 2500 rpm, you can hardly hear anything.
