X1 and e91 comparo

Many reviews compare the X1 to the e91 so I herded them together for a quick visual lineup. M Sport on both and it really makes the X1 handle quite well. I bit stuff on the bumps but about the same as my e91. DS is the best drive mode on the X1 and keeps the revs up above 2K RPM, where I prefer in all the manuals I've driven.

Also noticed the floor mats and wheel locks from e91 are exact fit on the X1

So guys, how does X1 feel in comparison with E91 in terms of interior space, interior quality, handling and ride comfort? Thanks in advance.

About the same. A buddy has a 2009 328iT, and aside from the power and transmission and it being rwd, it drives and feels very similar to the X1. There's more headroom in the X1, both in the front and back, but there's a little less room behind the seats.

The E91 is much sharper handling than the X1, turn in is better, faster cornering, less body roll, more rotation possible, steering is nicer etc.
It has a little bit more luggage space, interior quality is about on par.

Nice pictures. How come the 3 series wagon has the large side mirrors? Do the always come equipped with the bigger side mirrors?

I would speculate that the smaller X1 mirrors are for cost savings? I don't like the smaller mirrors vs. the e91 and most older BMW's. The integrated turn signal is cool, but the smaller mirror area isn't.

X1 is nimble but slightly top heavy vs. e91.

X1 2.8 has decent performance and I was very impressed when punching it to pass a "grey hair" putting along in the tan Avalon. I have the BMW Perf. intake and exhaust on the e91 and the straight 6 sound is beautiful...not much on the 4 banger turbo. (waiting for Supersprint to release their axle-back)

X1 is sort of an all-road hatchback. The x35 must be an absolute screamer!

I have a 2013 x1 28i, it has the bigger mirror like the 3 series wagon but no integrated turn signal. But I'm okay with it, the bigger side mirror is definitely more comfortable to look at.
