trunk dimensions

trying to decide if my dogs will fit in the trunk with the seats up at 90 degrees. I took my first look at an x1 today and it seems like they will fit.

Does anyone have measurements of the trunk?
or does someone mind measuring their trunk with the seats at 90?

Thanks

And no, moving the seats up to 90 degrees doesn't change that there isn't enough room for two big boxers in the trunk of an X1.

The trunk space of the 2013 X1 is 25 cubic feet. In comparison, the size of dog crate recommended for a single adult boxer is 42"x28"x30", or about 27 cubic feet.

If you fold the seats all the way down, you get 56 cubic feet. But if you can't fold the seats down, I honestly don't think the X1 is the right car for your dogs.

One of the beds the dogs frequently sleep on together is 40"x30" with room to spare. I thought the trunk of the X1 might be a little better than the back seat of my accord coupe for trips around town. Ill just have to take them to the dealer and see how it works out.

That calculation of that crate comes out to 20.4 cubic feet.

Does somebody knows the length when the seats are fold down?
I like to buy a X1, but it has to fit my freeride skis which are 185cm long....

I have put skinny and fat skis in that are of that length. They should barely fit diagonally with one seat down.

IIRC, the PAX seat is slightly forward but not too much. We are also limited slightly because we have the BMW backseat pigpen installed for our dog.

Page 119-120 of MOM (My Owners Manual) shows a partition net to keep the cargo/beasts in the rear. I bought an indoor/outdoor carpet remnant (4 x 6) in conjunction with the folded down great seats.

I don't think 185cm skis in a ski bag will fit inside, even diagonally. They have to go on the roof.

Realistically if you have more than 1 passenger with ski gear it has to go on the roof regardless of length. What is wrong with the roof rack? The car is designed to be used with a roof rack and it looks much cooler with a rack.

Do you crate your dogs in your Accord? There's plenty of room for large dogs, with the back seats down, but they sure won't be able to stand up.
