Price for remaining 2014 x28i

Just got quoted for a 2014 x28i for $33,140 (MSRP 36,720). Options include Metallic paint (mineral gray), Cold Weather package, Moonroof and carbon fiber mirror caps. The price quote is inclusive of the $1,500 factory incentive. I am going to get financing from my credit union at 1.75% so no need to worry about other financing adder.

Does anyone think I can do better? This is a quote from a Boston area dealer.

If I'm reading that right they included the incentive in the price already? Just doing quick math invoice on that car would be around $34,150 (taking 7% off $36,720). Thus they are giving you invoice plus $500. That's essentially the deal I had for my X1 back in 2013 when I ordered one configured the way I wanted after they had been out in the US about 6 months.

If this is a left-over 2014 then I'd expect a larger discount than that. You are getting what is going to look like a year old car which like it or not will impact the price of the car if/when you sell it down the road. If they will give you that deal on a 2015 it is decent.

If I read you wrong and you get the $1,500 on top of that price then it starts to look much, much better as a deal.

Note however that I'm in Southern CA which is hip deep in BMW dealers. If things are tighter in your market your options might be more limited.

Way overpaying, IMO. I'm also from another part of the country (NW), so things are different. Tons of stock, and much bigger discounts.

The quote is the starting point of the negotiation. Probably should aim for another $1000 to $1500 off since the dealership already has a boatload of 2015.

On a 2014, you should be paying $1500 under invoice IMHO.
