Non-X1 related question...
Hey all, looking for some feedback from my fellow E84 forum members.
What do you think about selling to a forum user (not from the X1 section) who just opened their account and has zero posts? |

They're not local so it would be paypal (I assume) and me shipping it. I don't sell often so I'm not sure what the risks are for them paying then pulling back funds, etc.

Paypal almost exclusively sides with the buyer when things go downhill. I've sold to some sketchy paypal people and have only got burned once for $100.
When in doubt call the buyer, you can learn a lot about the person with a simple phone call. Check the shipping address, is the place a dump, an actual address, decent neighborhood....ect. largest transaction i did was for 1500 for a loaded set of wheels/tires. Got his phone, shipped to his work (usually cheaper) and verified employment by calling business and asking for him. Just be smart about it. |

Just have him pay you via paypal personal transfer. No protections, when the money hits, it's yours and you can ship it.
You're the seller...it would be another thing if you were buying.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. There's so much that could go wrong. What if the transport company damages it or the buyer claims it wasn't as described?
I'd ask them to get on a plane and pick it up in person. Even when I buy from friends I go in person |
