Question for Tint people

I just tinted the back window and the rearward quarter window. I was going to move on to the rear side when I read about vertical scratches with BMWs because of a hard plastic gasket. Is this true for the X1? Do you need to install a moleskin on the hard plastic gasket? I have Ebay Ceramic tint so don't think it's the best stuff going for scratch resistence.

BTW, for DIY'ers. The x1 back window is super easy (simple preshrink) and that rear-most quarter window is super flat (no heating needed),

Garage List
I've had no scratches yet. Between my window rubber and the glass is a nice soft velour like material.
