X1 vs E91...where does the lift come from?
As the title suggests, where does the lift come from on the X1? Is it just longer shocks and springs? Are there subframe spacers like on a Subaru Outback? RealOEM shows that the control arms are the same between the E91 xDrive and the X1.
I'm asking because I'd like to get a little more height and load capacity out of the rear of my wagon, and an X1 rear setup sounds like it might be the ticket. However, if X1 just has a raised subframe, then X1 springs will probably be the same as E91 springs, and I'll have wasted my money. |

No raised subframe...all in the shocks/springs.
Aftermarket X1 springs in the rear, like h&rs, might get you a good middle ground between a true wagon and an X1.
