I love its look but do find it difficult to get a nice picture taken for the instagram...it does not look awesome from most angles, especially its rear end. Most picture I took came from rear 45 degree angles focused on the front half lol. When another X1 approaches from the rear, it does not look aggressive and intimidating to me in the rear view mirror. The big kidney grill and big smiling eye looking headlights took out any aggressiveness out of its look. Just not manly enough. And the lady's comments? My mom and girlfriend both praised the 328i and 428i loaner cars I drove home to be more elegant and of a much higher class...ouch. However, I do think the shape will hold against time and model changes pretty well. I purchased my X1, and I am hoping to keep it for years, even when I lease or buy my next BMW.

IMHO, My vote is that the X1 looks best in a oft underrated Marrakesh Brown (looks gold in sunlight) and Mineral Gray as both are darker colors which look good when polished and waxed. I think Audi has the best shade of white among German manufacturers. Audi A5 looks incredible in white.
