Elcetronic Oil Level Display
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has any ideas here. . . I have a X1 xDrive 20d (UK), and I cannot get it to display the electronic oil level readout. I am sure I remember having this shown to me during the handover of the car, but if I flick the rocker up / down on the indicator stalk I never see an option for Oil. I have re-read the manual several times, and I cannot think what I could be doing wrong - I see all the other options displayed on the dashboard, but never see the option for Oil. I am sure I must be doing something stupid, or missing the obvious - appreciate any pointers. Thankfully the X1 still does have a real dipstick in the engine bay, so I have been checking that. Thanks, Jon. |

If your car has a dipstick in the engine bay, then probably there is not display for the oil level on the On Board Computer.
My previous BMW 116i E87 LCI did not have a dipstick, that' s why it had electronic display. My present MINI R56 Cooper has a dipstick and doesn't have electronic display. To be sure, see the manual of your car or ask your dealer. |

Thanks for the replies. The manual does refer to the electronic oil check display, and I am 90% sure the dealer showed me it at handover.
Ah well, will check with the dealer when I am passing next. |
