Looking for New Rims
Hi guys,
I have a 2012 BMW X1 28i and I have been loving it! Just recently I have been looking for new rims to freshen up my look. http://www.carid.com/tsw-wheels/vale...ck-446192.html I got my eyes on these. I am wanting to run a more aggressive set up so what offsets do you guys recommend? Please let me know it will be greatly appreciated |

You would have to check if there is clearance. Though based on some YouTube videos it would be advisable not to change the offset unless you know what you're doing as it changes the suspension geometry and driving dynamics.
Look for a few videos by Engineering Explained channel on YouTube. |

Im actually in love with these and I rather spend a bit more to get a good quality rim. I'm thinking 19" or 20" but can't decide |

I went today to the shop and the guy told me these are similar but cheaper. http://ikonwheels.com/c5/catalog/ikon-staggered/iks12/ I rather spend the money and get a good rim. Any comments? |

Here is a link to Apex wheels. You really should take a look. They are similar to the Raijin style, but honestly I think the Apex have a nicer, more dish-like look. They're high-quality wheels, too. Like I said, I probably would go with these if I were to do it again. http://www.apexraceparts.com/apex-pr.../#.Vr0JjvkrJxQ |

So I've been looking for 20" and I found these
http://www.nicheroadwheels.com/circuit-m110-w-8785.htm I would be running 8.5 in the front and 10 in the back. For the 20"x10" the offset is 40 would that be okay? |

Ideally with a 10, you want to stay around 34-30 et, with a 20" diameter, unless you run a rubber band for a tire, it'll look kinda silly tucked in the wheel well. Lowering the car on 20's might be a chore with that offset for sure.

How wide are the wheels/tires? If you're staying in, say, the 225-245 range at stock height, then yes, you'll be fine.
