Screen Wash Issue

I am having problems with my front screen wash. When I pull the lever you can hear the pump working but very little screen wash comes out. I first though it had run out although I didn't get any warning, but I have filled it up.
Anyone else seen this.

Check the nozzle is not covered in gunk or bug. You can fix that with a needle.

Hi Gamb1t
It is all four jets that aren't working. There is some water coming out but with very little pressure. There must be a blockage somewhere but it is hard to trace the route of the pipes.

Garage List
Does the rear washer work if you push the stalk forward?

Yes. Not sure if that is just the screen wash left in the pipe though.
I was hoping to check for any blockages today but we had typical Easter Sunday weather - rained all day.

Urh, I just found out I have the opposite issue. Fronts work, rear is dead.
Same as yours, I can hear the pump but not juice.
I'm tearing into mine tonight.

I was confusing the wiper motor sound with the pump.
After further investigation my pump for the rear is kaput.
$40 bucks and some time, we are good to go!

They don't make things easy, do they?
The pipes from the bonnet disappear into the wing, and the only part of the bottle visible is the spout, so I haven't been able to check for blockages.
There seems to be some pressure because when you pull the lever some fluid comes out, but after that it's just a trickle.

It's a lot of work, but I would dig out your washer reservoir and just try blowing on the connection to see if it's blockage or the pump.

Took it into a local (non BMW) garage. Cleaned the pipes out. £42 job done.
