P@shencia,
I love the black wheels with black car. Have you considered changing the grill trim from chrome to black? I think it would be really sharp like sunnyman's. Is there a law in Russia that prevented you from tinting your front door windows?

I have chrome grilles with black stats from factory.

I have ordered the bmw performance black grilles direct from the dealers.

Hopefully they arrive today.

Thank you guys, I think it's one of the fully retrofitted X1, I need only 4 option for full dealer list option and have some extra parts from BMW but not from X1 list

Yes it's Russia law about tint on the front door glass, you can't do it. But some people do it and pay tickets
The wheels not black, they are standard Advan gunmetal color

But I'm JDM wheel fun
SSR Type-C 18

Volk Rays TE37 18"

winter SSR Type-C 17"

and buy new one wheel setup Rays CE28 18"
I dont love the fully black car, I changed black interior to Oyster. Exterior need some not black parts, its grilles, roof bars, and waiting install chrome windows mouldings

Looking for a source for the fine line matte trim. I really liked I but ended up not getting it and considering changing now.

2014 X1 X20I (EUR) E84 no navigation( my workaround)

Hello.
I am the new guy here.

Just bought a 2014 X1 X20I (EUR) E84. it has the Nav button on the idrive however, I live in Costa Rica, so, the navigation map is not available, and the nav option is disabled from factory.

I am thinking to setup an old iphone 4s because I like its size, as a main waze/google maps and i heart radio device.

I already did some testing and my setup kind of works.

1)My current iphone 6s will be primary device for calls. it will be connected to the head unit via BT, will tether internet to the 4s.
2)Old iphone 4s will be second unit dedicated to nav and music
will be connected to head unit via BT and or cable.

Music and map sound should play in bmw radio and when there is a call from primary phone, it will overlap the sound.

As for the phone support or holder I am using a magnetic thing like ball just below the central lock button below the air vent, using a 3M pad.

I hope my setting will work, tomorrow will do the install and test. Maybe this has been done before but I wanted to post.

I saw at the bwm local dealer the external garmin gps they sell for 400USD here, is kind of cool and thin but too expensive, I think the 4s will do because it has a nice screen size for my purpose when place horizontally.

Thanks for reading.

Has anyone tried running 1 series axleback exhausts?

I'm currently FBO. Looking to possibly buy a friend's Eisenmann from his 135.

I buy used(bumpers, skirts, 2 arch) and new parts(grilles, 2 arch) at local stores
Possible change without radiator frame(it's expensive)

Manufacture and extended warranty

Hello expert members,

I am brand new to this forum and to BMW owner family. I have this 2013 X1 28i with some manufacture warranty left on it and I bought extended warranty as well.

My situation is: I do not have Xenon lights on my car and when I checked with dealer they gave quote for $12000 CAD to change it. I checked with few people in the market and they quoting around $500 to change it.

My dealership said it could void my warranty if anything happens to electrical part on my car.

So I m wondering what are the chances of anything happening or voiding my warranty? Should I even consider changing the headlight or just drop the idea?

Thanks,

So...not FBO yet?

They don't fit.

You could potentially weld the Eisenmann muffler onto the axleback pipe of your stock muffler though.

Fine, if there was an X1 exhaust that was bolt on, I'd consider myself not FBO. Happy? lol

hmm, lame. Mounts for the muffler are the same?

Are you on the max setting for the jb4? Arent you worried about pushing the driveline that hard?

I know this post was a while ago. But, do you still have it? How's it been holding up?

There are many of us running the JB4 on the N55 X1, without any issues, of course.

Remember, the car is just a 335 xdrive. There are literally thousands of N55s running JB4s out there. It's the most-popular tuning option. There are many people running MUCH more power through this drivetrain without issues.

What setting people run is going to depend on a few things like available octane and other modifications.

Dare I say most people just run the auto-tune map (map 5), and let the JB4 set your boost depending on current conditions (temp, octane, etc.).

On the 35i, the button appears to function like the "rear fan off" found on other cars, plus a warning light that comes on if you accelerate, brake to a stop, or exceed 80 mph.
After driving like a bone china salesman for a couple of days, I got it up to +0.9 mls. So, not worth it, except to prevent blowing cold air on the dogs in the rear.

The picture in the manual is hilarious - ECO PRO extending the range +100 mls on one tank? I don't think so
(A good example of why engineering departments should always double-check what marketing does.)

I've gotten +2.5. But I agree, the throttle change is quite anemic and a pain. I also don't really like the throttle immediately off-idle, because I feel like theres a long pedal travel until it activates, and then it's a spike.

Like it's hard in the x135i to accelerate smoothly without accelerating very, very, slow.

Can someone throw me a bone? I just got a s28i (RWD) with a 8/2012 build date according to my VIN. I want to order a JB4 stage 2, so where are you guys in California ordering it from?

Am I supposed to specify my type of waste gate? How do I know which one I have? Can I run stage 2 with everything stock, or do I need to upgrade other parts for stage 2?
