M Sport Rear Bumper Diffuser

I don't like the dull look of the X1 M Sport rear bumper diffuser so I started looking for options. No one is making CF diffuser for our cars. I love the look of the OEM M Sport Performance Style Rear Diffuser for the 1er e82.

The rear bumper diffusers of the 1er e82 and the X1 e84 look very similar. I don't have either one in person so I started looking for photos.

The difference in rear width between the two vehicles is significant:

Model Rear Wheels Space Trim Dimension
X1 e84 1529 mm 1798 mm
1er e82 1507 mm 1748 mm

The shape of the two diffusers looks similar but looking closely it appears that the top side of the X1 diffuser has some curve and the clips follow that curve. Do you guys think fitting the 1er e82 M Sport rear diffuser to X1 e84 M Sport is possible?

I would totally do this if we could get it to fit, but I'm not sure it would. Where did you find those dimensions from?

What about finding some of the vendors from the neighbor forums who can manufacture it for us? The Chinese are selling the one for the 1-er for around $350.

It's a possibility but I would think we would have to show demand - maybe put together 10 people who would make a commitment.

Did you measure those dimensions yourself? Where did you get them? I'm trying to think about a couple options but am having trouble finding exact measurements.

You mean these measurements:

Model Rear Wheels Space Trim Dimension
X1 e84 1529 mm 1798 mm
1er e82 1507 mm 1748 mm

I took them from the models sizing chart. I don't have either car in hand. I mean I'm expecting delivery of my X1 and I'm messing around ;-) We can request someone to actually measure it for us.
