Clock

I have relied on the GPS so much for all the data it gives that I didn't noticed when driving across states the X1 clock does not change the time zone automatically, is it normal to change the car clock manually on BMW's?

I've never heard of an auto with a clock that changes automatically...

Almost every country in the world have time zones, so the car manufacturer probably should incorporate a car clock that would change the times while driving thru different time zones. It's just an idea.

So... You think automakers are going to add the additional expense of making their VCR clock on the dash GPS enabled for the oddball customer that drives in multiple time zones and doesn't have GPS or Nav ... Or a cell phone in their pocket or a Watch on their wrist ?

There's a coding option to set clock from gps which was off on mine. I turned it on but didn't do anything. I don't have navigation though.

I had a 99 Vauxhall (GM in the UK) which would change the time on the clock when the clocks went back / forward with data from the radio (RDS system).
