Bimmian 5 in 1 Guage
i just ordered the Bimmian OBD2 5in 1 Digital Meter. It gives: water temp, boost pressure, volts, RPM, intake and exhaust temps. It looks to be smaller than a credit card in width and length and small thickness. I'll post once it gets here. It has already shipped and it should be here in a couple of days.

It's here, I'll post a picture of it later if the site doesn't say it's too large.

Cool! That is your install right? Looks great.
How bright is the LED at night and is it adjustable? Looking forward to the review! |

Could you take a picture of the OBD connection area? The mounting you did on the headunit looks pretty clean, and I'm curious to see how cleanly you can integrate the OBD plug.

Here's the pic of the OBD2 connection. The wire is hanging because it is only temporary. I will be dropping the lower panel and routing the wire behind it.
The Turbo boost is interesting to watch especially when you get on it. There is also a setting you can set for over boost. One thing that I do not know if it is normal or not is that the car is charging at 15 volts. This may be because of the stronger electrical supply, but I will check with the dealer to see if this is normal. The temperature functions seem to be ok but not something I would want to monitor all of the time.

The only down side I have found is that the temps are displayed in C without the ability to change to F.

Thanks RPS. Looks like a worthwhile addition.
The 15v could be concerning, but do we have a standard lead acid or is it a AGM battery? AGM's do like a bit more voltage, but I think the additional voltage might be due to the distance it has to travel to the hatch area. |

My unit was hung up in battery mode, a call to Bimmian who told me to unplug it from the OBDII. I did, the unit reset, and is working correctly again.

Gauge
I too would love to see a video, You Tube has nothing yet on this product.
I would love to monitor Boost, Air/Fuel, & Temp, since the X1 has none of these gauges. |
