SiriusXM Retrofit...
The X1 35i (2013) I purchased is equipped with every option except SiriusXM radio. I am getting conflicting information from various sources. I was told that coding would enable the "chip" in the radio and allow me to access SiriusXM but other sources say I need the tuner like older models.
Does anyone on here know for certain? Please help so I may activate this feature. Thanks.

It should have the hardware and just require enabling. I had my 2013 done by remote coding from baccus@AMS on this forum. Works perfectly, and you should get 6-12mo. free trial from Sirius when you call them.

Thank you. Dealer wanted $5xx but the SA stated that it was only coding and that I could find it elsewhere for less however others have commented that my vehicle needs hardware + coding.
