Like all great teams, being on top becomes non-engaging with the continuous winning and that results in talent draining with Mercedes being the latest example - so many people left and they haven’t been able to replace those they lost.

Red Bull had some people already leave and if reports are true, Newey will be the latest. 2026 is looking more and more exciting.

It depends on if Max stays or not.

Realistically, 2026 aero regs are not as huge of a jump as the previous and they've had some pretty down years at Red Bull too. Newey's development of the suspension:aero balance is really where the gold has been on these recent RBs. Their aero efficiency wouldn't be this dominant if they didn't have the lowest deg on the grid.

That being said, Red Bull's aero team is still extremely solid and if they can nail 2026 engine regs, realistically what we will see is way more competition for the championship which isn't a bad thing.

If Max stays on the team, RB will continue to be a threat for years to come but they'll need to pay more attention to their second driver.

from everything I read, Max will leave if Newey is gone and Newey is gone due to Horner drama, based on the rumor news today. I kinda do want Max to go to AM, I heard that's a possibility, although I don't know if I believe it. I think everyone knows, Max always holds the "I'm just going to leave Formula 1" card in his back-pocket. I just don't see him using it while he's driving the winning car.

I don't see AM happening. I'd love to see Max and Alonso on the same team in a competitive car but we know Stroll isn't going anywhere.

The only other proven team Max can go to is Mercedes and it's high risk at this point. Ferrari and McLaren are trending way faster towards being threats and both of those teams are set with their drivers.

Maybe Audi in the future, depending on how good they're going to be and I think they have potential.

Imagine Andretti GM buys Alpine and grab Max as their driver.

Realistically Max stays RBR

IF (and a big if) Newey leaves, I'm hoping he will go to AM for the following reasons:

1. He's going to a British team
2. He's going to be paid very well, even if he's got plenty already
3. He won't have to move or learn Italian
4. He'll be working with Honda again
5. Him and Fernie are going to be working with each other

i get the sense that Lance may not want to be a formula 1 driver in the future, just from how he answers interview questions lately.

If I was him, I'd go win in another racing series. He isn't winning anything in F1.

That's a 50/50 proposition with the biggest factors being Lance Jr.'s seeming frustration with F1 and Lance Sr.'s acceptance of the business reality of keeping Jr. as the second driver.

If Newey goes to AM, you know the possibility of Max going as well is just going to skyrocket as that will push Lance Sr. to pull the not so surprising trigger to ditch Jr.

I feel like all signs are pointing to Ferrari for Newey.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him over at AM.

Newey has already worked with AM and the Valkyrie.
Stroll apparently offered him big money.
Alonso alluded to being happy with the direction the team is taking moving forward, and that being a reason he wanted to keep racing with AM. Maybe this has been a done deal for some time?

I'm not a fan of Stroll by any means, but he's a below average F1-grade driver in my opinion. it's always obvious when a driver that's not cut out for F1 enters the grid, like Mazepin.

That depends of the power output and the reliability from Horners Ford PU..
Currently it looks just average , because they know the 2026 Mercedes PU will be a monster .

Newey knows it , MAX knows it , Marko knows it
In 2026 'active aero will be allowed by the new FIA regulations , and Newey is the right man for that .
The Red Bull Team could completely fall apart due to Horners Ford PU !
So far , Horners Red Bull (Ford) Powertrains is a big mistake , that is going on and not Horners FKN love soap .
HONDA said : We hope to see MAX again in 2026 !
So , that would be in an Aston..

I say : Never split a winning combination !
The winning combination is MAX , HONDA and Newey ..
Hopefully they can figure something out , but the clock is ticking...

FormulaPassion.it has received confirmation from reliable sources that Ferrari and Adrian Newey have been engaged in lengthy discussions, exploring potential contractual terms and arrangements for an early departure from Red Bull, including gardening leave.
Negotiations are progressing well, with cautious optimism for a favorable outcome.
Reports suggest that Newey's relationship with Red Bull has soured over time, with rumors indicating his decreasing fondness for the team.
In the past, Newey has declined offers to relocate to Maranello, opting to remain in England. However, now at the age of 65, joining Ferrari would mark the pinnacle of his remarkable Formula 1 career, which has seen him secure 12 constructors' titles with Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull, as well as 13 drivers' titles with various legends of the sport.
Ferrari is reportedly considering enticing Newey with a role as a technical supervisor or super consultant, granting him the freedom to unleash his creativity.
This offer would rival those from Aston Martin and Mercedes, who may leverage the proximity of their English factories.
Additionally, Ferrari is prepared to offer Newey a salary comparable to that of a top driver, potentially exceeding his current earnings at Red Bull, which are around $10 million annually.
As it stands, Ferrari appears to be the frontrunner in securing Newey's services, barring any unexpected developments.
