I am not sure about the X3 to be honest, as I think certain things might be different. For the X1, it is all E8x stuff, not F series that fits. So for the chargepipe and FMIC, I used the ones from the N55 from the 335i and 135i.

One way to find out what parts will fit (this is how I figured it out for the X1) is to use real oem. Look at a 335i N55 and look at your car in a separate browser window, and compare part numbers. If your chargepipe part number is the same as the 335i one, it will fit.
Appreciate it .. I just did a cross-reference check and the X3 charge-air cooler #17517823570 does not match with any other car lol

I found Charge air induction tract 13717605044 & 13717597591 matches F22/F30/F32
whats "Air intake tube" i see compatible E84/F10/F22/F30
I can't find the down pipe part # unless its the Rmfd catalyst ? has 4 different part numbers, i searched that part and its compatible with E84 X1 but the one From 09/2012 -> Current is #Part 18327646432

Intake Muffler not compatible, Air-Filter no matches either (but k&n makes 1 for X3 28i)
Other than that looks like custom exhaust is the way to go if I ever decide to.

Seems like the X3 is a bit of a strange mix of parts. Rmfd catalyst sounds like a downpipe to me - not sure which of the 4 apply to the X3 though. Custom exhaust is the only option on the X1 as well, so don't feel too bad about that.

Install day for everything is tomorrow! Can't wait to see how the stoptechs look, and I really can't believe I will be on the track this Saturday!.

Good luck man can't wait to hear back

I was able to find the rmfd catalyst part # which is indeed downpipe, it is shared btwn F10/E84/F25 because its longer version.

Would love to hear how your dp with stock exhaust =)

Everything is installed and it came out amazing. I will take some real pictures later with the SLR, but suffice to say that the stoptech kit fits perfectly, including the stainless lines.

I was going to ask about the lines. Are they long enough for those at stock height or just a mild drop?

You going to be using R comps and track pads this Saturday?

That's the plan, I will probably spend much of the day just tweaking suspension settings but I will definitely shoot for a personal best time. Hoping for 1:42ish maybe. Eventually this year I want to be 1:39.

They are good to go at stock height. The entire kit fit with no issues.

Got some meat on today. I'd say we are just about ready for the track.

275 square fits and clears suspension with 10mm spacer in front and 5mm in back.

Performance Friction PFC-01 in the front and PFC-08 in the rear.

Ideally I wanted to use PFC08 for both, but the ST60 caliper shape has been discontinued. Next time, I will probably run PFC-11 all around, assuming they make them in the shape of the stock rear 335i caliper.

Let me know how those PFCs work out for you. Just bought a set of 06 fronts and 08 rears for my 996T. Never used PFCs before as I always used Hawk HT-10s on my previous 993. Those things cracked up rotors pretty good.

Along with a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups I'm ready to go hit the track after a 3 year hiatus.

Have fun this weekend and be safe.

I have used the 08's extensively and they are just wonderful. The rotor wear is unbelievably good. I got 40k miles with 11 track days out of a single set of rotors on a 3800lb car that makes 400+whp. Pretty insane if you ask me, considering they are a 2000f mot rated pad. And with PFC pads you don't have to bed them in. I won't go to another brand, period!

The 996t is a great car, if you look the background of the pic with all of the tires on the ground you can see my friend's 996t. The shop I use, Turn In Concepts, did a complete engine build on it. On a dynojet it should make 650whp on pump and nearly 800whp on e85. Car has been rwd converted and basically completely overhauled.

Everything working well with the abs? Also any reason why you are not installing a meth kit on your car? Would really wake up the pure stage 1.

ABS works great.

I am not installing meth because I do not believe in it for adding fueling. It is hugely risky and I have seen it go wrong and blow motors. If it was a 1/4 mile or street only car I might consider it, but no way on the road course.

I will probably be going stage 2 shortly and will address the HPFP when I do.

what option for hpfp are you at? I plan on going pure turbo down the road also. I would like to do suspension with wheels first but who knows.

Hey Para, what's the difference in weight between stock brakes and the Stoptechs? Just curious as I'm lifting my 55lb wheels up my stairs thinking "I wish these were lighter" lol

Edit: What do your wheels weigh with rubber per corner?

The stoptechs don't really weigh significantly less I would guess (I didn't weigh them though) - the caliper is lighter, but that is made up for by the thicker, bigger rotor.

The wheels, on the other hand, are much lighter. My 19 inch daily wheels only weigh 21lbs and my track wheels weigh a big over 16lbs each. The 19 inch tires only weigh 21 or 22 lbs I believe.
