20d remap
Hello!
Yesterday remapped my 20d with "upsolute" software. Didn't measured on dyno but they advertise it as a modest 208PS (from 177) and 410NM (from 350) increase. So it is supposed to be faster then stock 23d. 23d is advertised as 7.3 sec 0-100 car. To my disappointment. My car after 10 runs did best of 7.6 sec run. Tuner guy says a remap take up till 2 weeks to take full effect. But the most that kills my time is a wheelspin. What are your thoughts? |

Did 5 more runs on different road today.
New record 7.4 sec with stable 7.5-7.6 with no effort. Did it with 60% of fuel capacity and i weight 110 kg. So 7.3 of 23d seems ever more possible!!! |

switched tires. Put non runflat Toyo T1sport. Result AMAZING! A different car!
Everything is better. 0-100 km/h improved by 0.4 to 7 sec flat! That is faster then stock 23d. 0-60 m/h is 6.8-6.9 probably? |

DO you have any other Mods.? or what others are you looking at.
I'm considering a Chip which would bring it a bit over the 23d's performance. Also the 320d had a Performance Upgrade that had a better ECU, Larger Intercooler, Bigger Fan and Rear Performance Muffler with Twin Pipes. Very modest increase for the high price but with BMW Installation and Warranty. Do you consider a remap better than a removable chip? I would be looking at a modest increase to bring mine to around 200+ HP and 400+ NM. |
