Stock M Sport Tire Widths

Anyone get 225/45/18 for both front and backs?
I thought the car looked a bit funky and realized that the rears weren't staggered. Tire rack seems to suggest that it should be 255/40/18s on the rears. Can any m sport package owners chime in on their stock tire width?

Thanks all.

yes, 225/45/18 fronts on 18x8 , 255/40/18 rears on 18x9.

What tires - summer or all-season? Isn't the all-season option a square/non-staggered set up?

That's what I thought too. Except I heart one of my friends got all season and had a staggered set up. Maybe they messed up on his, cause I checked the door jamb sticker and it says I should have 225's all around.

From what I recall, up until late in 2012 the m sport came only with summer tires with a staggered set up or "mixed" in BMW terms. Then from about november or december of 2012 they offered an all season option but that required a square set up. We have a '14 m sport and with all seasons and have a square set up. Although, I think if you got the optional 19" it is a staggered set up regardless of summer or all season tires. On a positive note with a square set up you can rotate the tires to get the maximum life out of them.

but it looks like that bmw didn't want to spend a real money on them since they are performance summer tires....and the are streched....so i'll say that my wheel will take 235 to 245 in the front.....and 265 to 275 in the rear.....

i still got to do the research ...but you get the picture!!

That depends on the tires. With directional tires with inside/outside, you can at most switch between front and rear on the same side, which isn't as beneficial as a cross-rotation.
And keep in mind that for some time after a tire rotation, you may have worse grip than you did, especially if your fronts and rears have different camber angles.
My recommendation is to not rotate tires, except winter/terrain tires.

Square tires will also give you more balanced handling and less understeer. I personally really dislike the way BMW's drive with staggered tires. Of course it would help if there were an LSD on rwd cars still, getting traction in a 135i or 335i with one 225 rear tire is a little tricky.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Mine was a June build date.
All the more reason to switch out the run flats and go back to the set up I had on my E92
