Yes, on the base line model. You can get the sports steering wheel with paddle shifters along with cold weather package that provide heat for the wheel. This is what I got and one reason for not going with the MSport. The heated steering wheel is not available with MSport package.

So, why can't we order the M Sport package (paddle shifters on the steering wheel) with heated steering wheel. What is different with a the M steering wheel and the base package sport with shifters?

The MSport steering wheel is very thick, so BMW Engineering must have the extra padding in the wheel would not permit the heating element in the wheel to warm the wheel sufficiently. Funny b/c I thought Higher End M cars like the 3, 4, 5, 6 had this option. Maybe not. I have not tried to config one. Heated wheel is lovely in winter. Main difference is paddles between base wheel and sport wheel and some trim.

I think the 2015 M sports do have the option of a heated wheel now. With the M wheel

Might be a Canadian thing. Why in God's name would you ever need a heated wheel while living in Georgia?
