JB4 woes
Anyone else receive their JB4 with missing stuff? Ie the splice connectors?

Yeah, the connectors for the CAN. I also had to go out and buy more red wire for the power wire.

Reading up on some stuff, looks like I'll have to call Burger Monday. I'll need new firmware and I need to see if their stuff is compatible with Mac OSx.

On the firmware end, I recently purchased the JB4 bluetooth connect kit, and routed the wire through the firewall and into the glovebox. This is an amazing product for logging from an iphone/ipad, as well as for updating firmware of the JB4 unit itself. Highly recommended! |

I see that now. Still need to call and ask about Mac OSx compatibility. Otherwise I'll be lugging my desk top outside.

It's all good. N54tech had a better install guide since our car is a different than the F3X chassis. We install as per older guides. The tuner box sits on the passenger side under the cover for the fuse boxes. Easy peasy.
As for software, I have JB4 active all the time, I haven't gotten around to getting some sort of windows emulator for my mac.

You can try WineBottler.
No license or Windows copy needed. I use it for a couple of my Windows apps that I cannot live without on my Mac. http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/ I have to explain a bit more, since the weird name. This is based in Wine for Linux (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") So it is Wine with an OSX spin. Last edited by Njerts; 09-13-2014 at 08:00 PM.. |

Forget the emulator...theres an app you can download on N54 Tuning forums that is compatible with MacOSx so you don't have to emulate. I used it with my JB4 with no problems. PM me if you have difficulty finding it, but it should be pretty easy to track down.
