Possible to change PS ?

I love the feel of my 2014 X1's steering. It is the stock steering, not the additional cost servotronic assist one.

However, I have Parkinson's Disease and am finding the steering effort in parking lots to be a bit much. Otherwise, this is the car of my dreams and I intend to purchase it once the lease is up.

Is it possible to retrofit the much-maligned servotronic to a non-servotronic X1? As I expect this will be my last car I wouldn't mind even $1-2K to change it. Perhaps I could even find someone to swap with.

I know this is an odd question but humor me!

Call your dealer and ask. Maybe it's an easy addition.

Probably cheaper to just swap for a similar mileage CPO car.
