It's official: X1 coming to US
http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...11-bmw-x3.html
"BMW also confirmed that the smaller X1 SUV, which is closer in size to the outgoing X3, will come to the U.S. sometime next year."

Not sure if you know how big this car is?
I have noticed a lot of USA interest in the X1. Having travelled quite extensively through the States I am not sure how big you think this X1 is? By your standards this is a small car, you know that don't you?

I know the general dimensions and I'm looking at compact SAV's so the X1 fits my criteria. Most photos on the forum don't give an accurate size perspective, would like to see some with people or objects of known size,

If BMW doesn't bring the diesel over, we may put off the commute car purchase in lieu of a truck for traveling. 4WD or AWD is a must since we travel snow country. We are baby boomers and, believe it or not, the baby boomers used to do a lot with very small cars. Without a family to transport, we can go back to small cars for efficiency. |
