X1 e84 pre and post lci vs e90 interior quality

Hello to all,
We don't saw each other since I sold my beloved e90 in 2013
So I am into buying X1 e84.
The reviews don't appraising the interior quality in comparison with e90 which is very good.

So, if anyone drove both models, how's difference?

And before and after facelift - is there any changes besides nicer steering wheel and iDrive? Any better plastics?

Because there are changes from pre to post LCI on first 1st series (in the meantime i owned e81)

I owned a 2011 e90 an 2014 e84 at the same time. The transition was seamless. Others than the e84 being the Frankenstein mash-up of parts, it was virtually no change.

Yes, thank You, Frankenstein really is, from inside to outside. I just hope there are no much squeaks and rattless....

Same here, no really differences between my E90 2007 vs. my actual E84 2014. 193000km and no rattles at all, even from the sunroof. The only disturbing sound is my girlfriend who snores.

Great! Do You know if someone installed some retrofit iPlay/android audio/navi because that little shelve above is born to carry some nice screen

The E84 X1 is also classified as a passenger car and not an SUV... Make sure you advise your insurance company of this...

Kws counts only for insurance

I am of the opinion that the e90 interior material quality is better than the e84 x1. The e84 is similar to the 1-series overall. It's ok but nothing to shout about. That said, I have not experienced cabin rattles. So that's good.

Test drove the 2023 X1 and it is much nicer in all the touch areas.
