Mercedes ML to X1???

im planning to trade my fully loaded 07 Mercedes ML350 V6 4x4 for an X1 sdrive 2.0petrol which is basic (no idrive, no bixenons, no auto a/c, no sunroof, no hifi) but has leather power seats and note: Steel rims with hubcaps!, any feedback as to how much of a downgrade could it be in terms of comfort, performance?

i got my mercedes for $135k new 5 years ago and the new base X1 is $80k. they want to do a trade plus $20k. my mercedes only has 22k miles and is flawless. am i on a loosing end?

i want a smaller suv and im considering the evoque, though the price difference is quite substantial and i dont want to spend to much $$$ for a daily driver.

The ML is in a different league.

Swap for a new ML250cdi but not for an X1.

my main reasons for replacing the ML are:

it guzzles gas, its too big for our narrow roads, its heavy to drive, difficult to park...

when i got my mini, its a joy to drive downtown....so it made me decide to get a mini suv.

anyway when i want a big car, i still have my 7 long wheel base

oh well...negotiations to the dealer bogged down, ill just wait and see
