10J ET45 Rear Wheels On A X1????

Has anyone done 10J rears?

I am looking at a set of Style 132 X5 wheels I have a look on willtheyfit and they sit alot closer to the shock than standards and only poke a touch more so 15/20mm spacers will be needed.

Just wondered if anyone had got 10J's on the rears

I believe 9.5 was the widest that someone was able to put on and even then they had to roll their fevers so they wouldn't rub.

Sorry but I don't recall where I read the thread. Either here or on bimmerfest

I have 9.5x19 rears with ET20. ET35 would be perfect for that size rear, with room to spare.

I run 10" with a 35et. You might rub the springs with a 45et. I know I don't have much between my spring and my wheel.

Right well just for an update, I will be updating my project thread along the way..

I picked up the wheels with x5 size tyres on and tried on the rears which were running 285 45 19 tyres. They went straight on, didn't seem to rub the springs and there was no poke either.

I will be running smaller tyres on them just to allow more room as it was a squeeze getting them on but I think it should be all good
