BMW X1 2013 acceleration hesitancy + Radiator light flashing + revs stuck high

Hi all,

Today I had a journey with some hills and noticed

• acceleration hesitancy - jumpy, lumpy, jerking.
• Check Engine Light flashing has now come on when this happens.
• revs stuck when this happens.

Any ideas on a scale of 1-10 how screwed I am?
I am going to get a mobile mechanic to come inspect ASAP.

Update 25/06/22
Have run an OBD scan and Error code P0301 Engine Misfire Cylinder 1 is coming up.

Now researching.

Changed cylinder 1 spark plug, same issue. Cylinder 1 misfire.

Tomorrow going to try swapping ignition coil to see if problem moves cylinder.

new spark plug yesterday
new ignition coil (misfire moved to cylinder 2 when doing swap test)

took it out for a run worked fine.
Then second run and runs like a dog and "check engine" light flashing.

checked with updated scanner again cylinder 2 misfire P0302.
Changed ignition coil in cylinder 2 - fault codes now gone.

Runs much better, no lumpyness, hesitancy, wobble tickover.
will test more and see what it does next lol.
