X line to m sport front bumper

Has anyone done this? Is it a straight swap or are there extra parts to order. I love the front bumper on m sport, curious what is involved. I'd like to do it after the winter.

Thanks in advance.

M sport and x line use different fender/wheel well trim, so you'd have to buy (and paint) those as well.

Is that it for parts though? That's not bad at all. Worth it IMO

As far as the bumper goes, I believe so. However I've never taken the bumper off on a non m sport. You may have to do the side skirt and rear fender trim if you want it all to match though.

No thanks my x1 is paid off and the only thing I want is the bumper. I'm going to go better than m sport on the suspension. Not really worth trading the car for a new loan etc.

Ok and I can’t sell just the bumper!

No, they are bare.

Aftermarket may. There are a number of threads on this conversion. A few have done just the bumper and painted sides, mixed with x-line sides, or left the lower one black/silver. So lots of options.

New or used? OEM or aftermarket? got some shots of the side-skirts and fender flares.

Still my biggest regret not doing this when I redid my bumper, may just have to give it another go.

the smaller lower front bumper grills weren't that abundant but they are out there, I would start looking for those on ebay if you are looking to do on a budget. I just went with some aftermarket $36 foglights not oem

Anything behind the bumper that needs to be considered aside from the fender arches? Also, what headlights are those?

And the headlight washers just mate up too? Sorry to be persistent, I don't want to get half the stuff taken apart and I have to put everything back because it's my daily.

Make sure you get a bumper that has the washer cutouts and you should be good
