Wipers/defrost

Do the front wipers sit on an electric heating grid for defrosting? Or is it just heated nozzles for the fluid?

I just thought about this this morning because my truck window was frosted and I was muttering how much I hate scraping the window

Hey Twix

Just heated nozzles as far as I know. They don't work too well IMHO, though I think the problems I found are with the pipes feeding the nozzles and not the nozzles themselves.

Minus 4 in the UK over the winter one day (which is probably beach weather in Canada) and the nozzles/pipes stayed frozen for hours.

You got that right! I was up in northern alberta for work, 2 days ago we got 7 inches of snow and minus 15C hahaha

Edit: Although, the type of fluid greatly helps. I hear BMW Europe uses different fluid than here in Canada

Yeah might try better fluid this coming winter.

I think we got to about minus 15 up in Scotland this winter, but where I live near the south coast of the UK we managed minus 6. Having lived in Norway for a few years, I know what mega minus temperatures are like
