2015 X1 35i on Dinan Springs slammed

I'm new to the forum and have already found out a lot of great info so thanks in advance! Anyway, the car was an executive ride that the dealer acquired (M Sport) and installed a Dinan stage 2, some wheel spacers and the Dinan spring set for a 335. The problem is that the rear sits 1 1/4" lower than front and the rear bump stops are smashed. It has a pretty harsh ride. Dinan has no solution for this vehicle and the dealer mentioned trimming the bump stops as a solution...fine maybe for some kids Evo, but not a professional solution for a vehicle like this. Are there many options that I can present to the dealer to make it right?

H&Rs are the only option for the xdrive cars besides going to coilovers. You'll find them listed for the 28xdrive, but work on the 35.

Bilstein also makes a set of B6s for the car to that work well with the H&Rs.

BTW: Trimming bump stops is a completely acceptable and necessary solution.

If you take away suspension travel via shorter springs, you need to gain some back via the bump stops. Most aftermarket springs will either come with shorter bump stops and a set of instructions for how much to trim off the factory units. Trimming is common and no big deal.

In your case, those rear springs are too low anyway. Trimming the stops will help, but not nearly enough. The car is only an inch or so off the factory stops at stock ride height. I imagine when you drive, they've almost fully compressed as it is. The harsh ride comes from when you fully compress them over bumps.

That's gotta look weird. I'd get the H&Rs with the Bilstein B6s (as above).

Just my opinion, but I'd personally, just ask for the OEM springs installed + cash for your troubles

39xx lb vehicle is not where I'd focus my money / energy on modifying.

springs meant for another application without an attempt to match dampers is pretty questionable as well, i'd personally go elsewhere for service...

Ahh come on now. It's the closest thing we got to a 335 wagon/4 door 135 hatch. Just a suspension away really from a hardware standpoint.

It actually can be a pretty fun little daily with a tune and the suspension buttoned down. Not ashamed to say there are days when I prefer it to the 135/M3.

Neat little sleeper.

I second this statement. Our weekend drive is a top down Boxster but I can say that I have found more than a few excuses to take the X for a lively outing...and it might be a bit quicker with the Dinan tune.

Actually ECS has a cup kit with Eibachs:

"Change the appearance and attitude of your X1 with this Bilstein B12 pro cup kit. This kit features Bilstein sport shocks and struts, coupled with Eibach springs for aggressive handling without the aggressive ride quality."

I'll third that X1 In M Sport has such a good firm and grippy ride, I'd not change springs or shocks unless they wear and change for the worse.

For me it's track ready for driving as fast as track will allow (have hit 120mph on COTA) for 20 minutes with no brake fade or engine over heat (s28i).

Damn, when did that get released?

I would have gone that route I think for the shorter bodies.

We need to find out if this means you can now buy the B8s separately.

These appear to be the B6 HD shocks and struts. I zoomed in on the part number using ECS Tuning's listing for this setup.

Tire Racks' the first place I saw that kit, but they state the shocks are B6 quite plainly.

I was pointing out that the springs are Eibachs. I knew the shocks and struts were B6s.
