X1 LSD Swap Possible?
Curious if anyone has tried or knows if it's possible to switch a limited slip differential into a rear wheel drive X1? I believe someone makes an LSD for the E90, could that swap in on our cars too?

Yup, not sure of the final drive of your car, or if you wanted to go with a shorter overall ratio...but generally speaking an E90 diff will bolt right up.

I'd call Quaife, I'm sure they could set you up. Probably have to read them off your current diff part number.
https://shop.quaife.co.uk/quaife-bmw...auto-328i-auto http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=33_1517 Realoem.com shows that you have the same diff as all of these cars:
33107591023 So anything for any of those will work.

Awesome, thanks for the help, I will reach out to them!
Does anyone know if the differential in the X1 is bolted or welded? I was searching E90 forums last night and several people were talking about the differential being welded somewhere? |
