Intro thread for my Msport
Just wanted to make an intro post since I just joined! Picked up my 2015 Msport xdrive28i yesterday as a CPO car from Daniels BMW in Allentown,PA. I'm loving it so far! I bought it as a daily driver and to keep my E39 M5 off the road during winter. I was looking for something that would be fun but still practical as a daily since I commute about 60-70 miles a day. My mom had a 2013 and I remembered how much fun it was to drive and while at the dealer looking at cars I saw they had a Lemans blue Msport so I test drove it and ended up really liking it!
I'll be getting rid of my 1997 528i, it hasn't been driven since January due to a leaking heater core. The car has 305k miles so I'm transferring some parts to my M5 and selling the rest off. It was my first car and I've had it for 9 years now but it was time to move on 2016-10-05_02-47-51 by Mike, on Flickr And my M5 20170610_195251 by Mike, on Flickr Last winter 16707228_10158193654645076_5819249971673438603_o by Mike, on Flickr And some picks of the X1! Waxed it as soon as I got back from the dealer haha 24059356_10159602990780076_6150641511383180473_o by Mike, on Flickr 23847532_10159607755230076_8432623490155964318_o by Mike, on Flickr 24131754_10159607755865076_441236629882712898_o by Mike, on Flickr |

Those are all beautiful cars. I was actually looking at that X1 because I love the Lemans blue, but then a local car showed up here in Atlanta in mineral gray that was CPO and had what I wanted, so I grabbed it. Slightly hesitant about BMWs as this is the first one, so please post if you run into issues. I’m good about maintenance since I’ve owned German before, just hoping for the best. congrats on that blue one, I think it’s the best color IMHO.

Love your M5. Hoping you give your X1 some of the same treatment!

Other than that I'm going to do 30% tint on the windows and that's it for now, just gonna drive it and enjoy. Thank you! |

Those are beauties! Congrats on 305K though, especially on PA roads, Philly is no joke!
The only concern to being a new brand (to me) is the timing chain guide issue for the older n20's but hoping for the best. So thanks for some comforting thoughts on the rest.. |

Took this pic the other week coming back from my gf's house, it was late so I was able to stop in the road and grab a pic haha.
2017-12-24_08-49-09 by Mike, on Flickr Also had the windows tinted this past week, got 30% and it looks darker since the interior is all black. No pics yet but I'll get some soon! I've really been enjoying this car as a daily, I've already had a set of wheels in the back of it and I love the utility of it. Not really planning on doing much else to it mod wise, maybe an AFE intake since I get a discount through work. |
