They look like a disaster...like when Warriors go for a layup and LeBron comes from behind....

LOL at the top comment:

It’s too easy in this country to get a mustang. These cars aren’t meant to drive, they’re for killing as many pedestrians as possible, we need stronger vetting to ensure these don’t fall into the hands of “mustang drivers....”

Mustang sales needs to be regulated like alcohol, tobacco and firearms...it's obviously very dangerous and menace to society.

I gotta say though, Mustangs have absolutely no fucking traction. You come around a corner kinda hard (what would be an otherwise casual corner turn in BMWs), and the back end WILL go out.

Just to give these Mustang driving idiots some credit...

Edit: I have a 2014 Mustang 5.0, so I speak from experience.

They don't use live axles anymore it should get better.

My favorite part is how it sounds like they are in a barnyard when it is played in slo mo. Like there are cows in the gallery.

you sure it's a live axles issue?

I would think the issue is with the lack of cognitive thinking with nut behind the wheel.

Genuine inquiry here. I'm from the UK. We don't have many Mustangs here, yet. I've read a lot on here and on Jalopnik about this Mustang problem.

What exactly is happening here? Why are there so many crashes in these cars? Are they too powerful? Is there a design flaw with the steering or drive? Are these cars only available in manual or is it a problem with the automatic gears?

And should we be afraid when Mustangs start to be sold here? :

I wouldn't say it's any sort of design flaw. It's basically M3/M4 power but available for cheap. Because it's so easily accessible to the masses (including inexperienced drivers) there are more crashes.

And yes, be afraid... very afraid. Just avoid gathering in groups of people and you should be ok. Those get targeted by Mustangs first.

first question you need to answer is:

1. Am I a responsible person, not easily caving into peer pressure from 17 year olds with cell phone cameras?

I sort of understand what you mean. But I've seen Youtube videos where a Mustang leaves a gathering, turns into the main road, accelerates in a straight line and loses control, spins and crashes. It's unbelievable. Don't they know how their car will behave in any given situation? i.e. when going around corners, accelerating out from sharp bends etc?

What sort of driver training is available in the US for Mustang drivers?

Reminds me of that guy with the M4 that hopped the curb as well.

Driver training? US? Basically if you can answer 25 multiple choice questions and drive around the block with a mildly interested DMV employee without crashing, they'll give you a drivers license to basically drive whatever you want.
